Bumpmaze note:
Adjusting Speed:
When you first run the program, a special file will be
created called Bumpsped.dat. This file is created after the
program figures out what type of computer it's running on.
This file contains a number which will control the speed of
the game. For example for an IBM 30. 8mhz computer the
number is about 2192. For a Compact portable 4.7mhz is 72.
The way you can adjust the speed of the game is by selecting
then Option menu by pressing <O> during the game. The way to
judge the speed is by loading the program and trying to move
the pusher from left to right. (if the maze allows it).
Holding the <S> key down (to keep it next to the wall)
... release it and let the pusher run across the length of
the screen. It should take about 4 1/2 to 5 seconds.
In most cases you will not have to adjust this file, however
on some machines, some adjusting will be needed.
Adjusting Flicker:
On some CGA screens, flicker will occur when the program is writing
to a graphic screen. If you have this problem, select to <O>ption menu
during the game and turn the snow suppression on. (This will slow down
then graphics of the game slightly)
